Without warning my electronic power steering failed. This resulted in the steering shaking and then locking up while i was at highway speeds. I then only had manual steering. When i researched this online, it appears to be a common problem with mustangs of these years and adjacent years.

When you are driving at highway speeds, if you do not correct you would go off the road.i brought this problem to alan jay ford in sebring fl. My 2011 mustang when driving at around 40mph the traction control light come on and the front end starts to wobble it don't happen all the time. I took it to have it check and was told the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The don't have but 56000 miles.
