I was driving on the 407 traveling 110 km per hour. Windows, radio, fan, lights, emergency lights started to fail. The car was losing speed. It broke down on the highway and emergency lights nothing would work. I called 911 because i was scared of getting hit. Police came and my car was towed to the ford dealership. They replaced the alternator and battery costing 566.00. A month later the same thing happened. I…

The engine cluster for my 2005 mustang is malfunctioning. The rpm gauge is not operating properly. I was told by a ford dealer that this was a common malfunction. *tr

All gauges stopped working. First speedometer, than the tact, gas gauge, and finally the hot/cold gauge. I don't know how fast i'm going and i don't know how much gas i have in my car. Every time i drive my car it's a guessing game between gas and speed. Ford needs to issue a recall before someone gets hurt or even worse killed because of this. If not a recall at least make the part cheaper so we can get it fixed…

The speedometer, fuel gauge, rpm gauge and engine temperature gauge all no longer work in my 2005 mustang. They have all failed to function properly. *tr

While driving in the evening the engine temperature and fuel gauges failed. The temperature gauge gradually kept climbing higher above the red line. An inspection of the engine compartment reveled that the engine was operating at normal temperatures. The fuel gauge also started registering incorrect reading; gradually moving past the full line even though no fuel was added. Starting and stopping the engine caused…

2005 mustang v6 automatic. Stalling unexpectly this has happened several times. Repair shop unable to find out what is wrong. Also temperature gauge not working already replaced the sensor and it worked for a while now not working again. Now my transmisstion is slipping. And of course filling the car with gas is also a problem. Seems to be that all these problems are very commong and i think ford should be taking…

Speedometer sticks at zero or any other speed. Seems to be a random malfunction that may or may not be aggravated by weather conditions. *tr

All of my gauges are out..i don't know my speed, temp of my car, etc. Dealership advising the cluster is out & its a common problem. Estimate for repair is about $1200.00. I see multitudes of complaints for this same reason..same year & make & model. This obviously should be a recall. *tr

Entire gauge cluster is now inoperable. First thing to stop working was fuel gauge, needle stuck around 1/8th tank. Low fuel lamp indicator still works and is only way to know when low on fuel. Around same time speedometer needle started sticking at random points, more noticeable as weather got cooler. Would go up with acceleration but not all the way back down when braking. Needle is now stuck all the way cw on…

My 2005 v6 mustang gauge cluster is erratic. Tach fluctuates between not working at all and reading 1000 rpm low. Gas gauge has spun past full and points toward the floor. Temp gauge same as gas gauge. Speedometer intermittently works fine, reads incorrectly or doesn't work at all. *tr

Instrument cluster: the rpm and temp gauges do not work. First the rpm gauge stopped working and 1 year later the temp gauge started jumping around to cold and then hot. I have had to pull over to check the engine numerous times and the engine was not hot. Now the temp gauge does not work at all and the gauge points downward as the rpm gauge. This is dangerous. I'm worried the engine may overheat and i will have no…

On september 1, 2010, the gas gauge on the vehicle failed - reading more than full, and other various irregular readings. Repaired for $75, then failed again next day. Have not repaired again as dealer estimates cost at $1500 due to multiple failures according to their tests. Gas light still works when fuel is very low. On november 1, 2010, the speedometer failed - reading 80 mph when vehicle is stopped. Have not…

Speedometer failure. The speedometer in my car started showing i was going 10mph while the car was not moving.i had to turn the car off and restart it to get a correct reading. Eventually that didn't work. The speedometer would stay at 10 or 20mph till the car warmed up, then it worked fine. Then it started staying at 20mph if the weather was cold. (at night it didn't work, in the daytime when it was warmer outside…

Took my 05 v6 to the dealer because there was a collection of lights on the dash lit up, check engine, brake, oil pressure, traction control, traction control off, low fuel, fuel gauge not working and the turn signal lights on dash didn't work either. This happened after water leaked into my car after a hard rain. Dealership said smart junction box got wet due to bad sealant, which caused the leak. However, smart…

This is regarding a defect, but not an accident. I had the exact same issues on my 2000 mustang, which ford declared a lemon 2 years after i purchased it new. Primary problem is fault in electrical system, which causes intermittent and increasingly inoperative problems with engine dying in the middle of the road, even at high speeds, losing all steering and control; convertible top opening and closing; windows…

Speedometer began working erratically at around 33,000 miles. Speedometer needle would hover at 20mph when in idle and would jump up to 80mph and then work sometimes, other times it would stay at zero. Have not noticed any changes due to weather (rain or temperature). Compared speedometer reading with gps speed and found inconsistencies of up to 10 mph when the speedometer did work.speedometer complete failure at…

Driving on wet roads, front passenger side leak, shorting fuse box. Car lights, turn signals, instrument panels, and radio all go dead. When car is put into park it will not shift back out. Dries out, and all is well again. This is an extreme safety issue.....imagine if you will driving on a highway late at night in traffic only to have all your lights and turn signals go out. *tr

All of my gauges started to read improperly or not at all, speedometer, oil pressure, gas, battery, coolant temp, rpm. They didn't all go at the same time. It has gotten progressively worse. Not knowing how fast i am going is a major safety hazard! I am surprised that this has not already had a recall issued viewing all the problems with this make, model and year with the same problem. *tr

In reference to tsb-08-26-7 and tsb-07-14-6, there is a difficult to diagnose water leak in the floor board of the vehicle. The water leak coming from the passenger side of the vehicle from the wheel well into the floor board of the vehicle comes into contact with the smart junction box (sjb) of the vehicle. When water seeps into the sjb, it short circuits the majority of the electrical system of the vehicle…
