January 14, 2018 i was involved in a one vehicle accident do to black ice. Upon hitting the ice traveling at 5 miles per hour the vehicle i was drive begin to spin out of control. The vehicle dropped off the side of the road . And came to rest on its top. After coming around because i am postive i was knocked out do to impact i found my seat beat had come unrestrained and i was seating on the ceiling of the vehicle.…

The threads and the belt were deteriorating and could have detached at any moment. The dealer stated that the driver side seat belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 168,000.
