My accident happened in a parking lot. When carefully backing out of my parking spot, my car suddenly accelerated. I tried unsuccessfully to stop the car by hitting the brakes. I was driving down a ramp to a highway (route 21 in clifton, nj) at approx. 30mph and went to accelerate tp the middle lane on the highway at approx. 45mph when the car suddenly took off.
