E brake rubbing on metal plate the holds it up and removed most of the covering ford installed from the factory, risk of cutting the cord. Mechanic noticed it when replacing my brakes. Car is 3 years old with 87k miles.

Was driving on a nice road in downtown riverside and had no impact or other events prior to the light turning on. The vehicle's braking is not apparently inhibited.
