After researching many forums a lot of mustang owners, ranging from 2010-2017, report a problem with their trunks not opening due to a wire that corrodes and doesn't allow the trunk to open. The evaporator is broken and leaking causing a foul odor in my car. I've looked online and noticed that alot of other people are experiencing the same issue. I went to the ford dealership to get it fixed, and i was quoted $2459.64. If this is an ongoing issue for people, it should be put out as a recall instead of having people pay $2500 for defective parts.

Mustang exhibited symptoms of air conditioning being warm, after taken to ford dealership it was reported that a leaking evap core behind the dash caused the issue. The issue i'm reporting is ford has seen multiple failures of this nature with a leaking evap core which seems to cause r134 to possibly leak into the cabin. The issue is undetectable until the air con quits working.
